A little reminder from Community Matters…

Following a recent negative Google review, we thought we’d take the opportunity to clarify something… we’re a charity shop, not a car boot sale! 😂

Our prices are carefully considered, and while we’re always happy to chat, bartering isn’t something we do - the price is the price. All profits raised goes towards supporting our chosen local charity, so we’d much rather raise £12 for a donated item than £5.

We do our best to price fairly, respect our donors’ wishes and, most importantly, raise as much as we can for local causes.

And while we’re on the subject of reviews… if you’ve enjoyed browsing, found a treasure, had a friendly chat with our volunteers or simply like what we’re doing, we’d LOVE a positive Google review!

It takes a minute, but it genuinely helps a small independent charity shop like ours.

We’re re-sharing our Curry Race Night as we would love to see more people join us for what promises to be a brilliant evening of food, fun and fundraising! 🍛🐎

Join us on Thursday 23rd July 2026, from 6:00pm - 9:00pm at St Mark’s Community Centre, Bath, for an evening of curry, horse racing fun and fundraising in support of Headway Bath & District.

🎟️ Ticket options:
General Admission – £20
Headway Clients & Blue Light Card Holders – £15

Both ticket options include entry to the event, race night entertainment and a two-course meal.

There will also be an evening drinks bar and the chance to take part in friendly cash betting on the horses, so please remember to bring cash if you would like to get involved.

We are very grateful to St John’s Chambers for kindly sponsoring the event and supporting our fundraising efforts.
