What happens when you ring us
A person answers. Usually within a few rings, in working hours, from the shop.
No menu system, no queue, no chatbot asking you to describe your problem in a text box before it offers to pass you to an agent. If the person who picks up cannot answer your question, they will walk across the showroom to someone who can, or take a number and ring you back the same day.
This sounds like a small thing. It is not. A large part of what customers tell us they value is not the television at all; it is knowing that the number on the receipt reaches somebody who can help, three years after the sale.

If BBC iPlayer has stopped working on your Panasonic TV, or you have seen a warning message when you open it, your television is probably one of the 2015 and 2016 models the BBC is withdrawing support from. Panasonic has confirmed the change in a support notice. The app stops working at the end of October. Your television is not faulty.

Sony True RGB is the company’s name for a television backlight built from individually controlled red, green and blue LEDs. Ordinary LED sets use one colour of LED and filter the light to make colour, which wastes brightness and dulls the result. True RGB skips that step, so colour arrives purer. Sony uses it in the Bravia 9 II and Bravia 7 II. Other brands call much the same idea Micro RGB or RGB Mini-LED.

Micro RGB is a new kind of TV backlight. It uses thousands of tiny red, green and blue LEDs behind an LCD panel. Ordinary LED and QLED sets use white or blue LEDs instead, then filter that light to make colour. The new approach gives purer colour and much higher brightness. Samsung launched the first sets in 2026, and Sony followed with its own version. OLED works in a completely different way, because every pixel makes its own light. So OLED still wins on black levels, while Micro RGB wins on brightness. Your room decides which one matters more.
