We are looking for a couple of people to help out in our Bedale store part time. The right candidates will be motivated, enthusiastic and have a passion for food! In this role, you will be customer facing, so previous experience of retail or customer service is desirable.
Roles/hours available
• Shop assistant including deliveries (approx 20hr per week, including Saturdays, to collect van in Thirsk early each morning before travelling to Bedale)
• Shop assistant (approx 15hr per week including Saturdays, plus holiday cover)
Duties to include
• Welcoming and serving customers in the shop and helping with any queries they may have
• Setting out and/or packing away the shop in a morning and evening
• Replenishing and looking after stock throughout the day
• Answering the phone in a polite manner
• Packing orders for delivery
• General cleaning duties
• Assisting with stock takes and cashing up as needed
Skills required
• Basic maths skills for handling transactions and providing accurate change
• Punctual/excellent time management skills
• A friendly, upbeat demeanour with the ability to converse with the public
• Physically fit as there will be some heavy lifting and you will be on your feet
• Able to work in a close knit team
£12.50ph, staff discount in store
