A recent installation of a Hypervolt Home Pro 3 complete with a 7.5m tethered charging lead, giving the customer plenty of flexibility when parking and charging.

To complete the installation, we also fitted a dedicated IP-rated consumer unit, ensuring the charger has its own protected circuit and a neat, compliant finish.

Sometimes it’s the small upgrades that make the biggest difference.

The existing under-cupboard lights had seen better days, with exposed connections and aging fittings. We removed the old lighting and installed new LED under-cupboard lights, giving the kitchen a much cleaner look and significantly improved task lighting for the worktops below.

A simple upgrade that has improved both the appearance and usability of the kitchen.

The old lighting wasn’t providing enough light for working safely and efficiently, so we replaced it with new LED batten fittings. The result is a much brighter, cleaner and more energy-efficient space with excellent light coverage throughout the garage.

⚡ Fault finding job completed near Northallerton after the customer lost power to part of their socket circuit.

After investigating, we found saddle rack screws had been driven straight through the socket ring cables hidden in the wall, damaging the wiring and causing the fault.

We traced the damaged section, carried out the necessary repairs, fully tested the circuit and safely restored power.

A good reminder to always be cautious when drilling into walls — cables don’t always run where you expect!

The existing fuseboard on this property had:
❌ No surge protection (SPD)
❌ No RCBO protection
❌ Poor IP rating / exposed entry points

We’ve now upgraded it to a modern unit with:
✔️ Individual RCBO protection on circuits
✔️ Surge Protection Device (SPD) installed
✔️ Improved enclosure and cable entry for a safer install
✔️ Fully tested and certified

This kind of upgrade massively improves safety and brings the installation up to current standards.

If your fuseboard looks dated or you’re unsure what protection you’ve got, it’s always worth getting it checked 👍
