Some trader news! 👋

We’re delighted to have recently welcomed three new permanent traders to Bedale Market.

You may recognise all three, as they’ve been joining us over the past few weeks and months, but they’ve now made the decision to become permanent fixtures on Tuesdays. 🎉

First up, Paul!
Paul was a permanent trader here for many years before deciding to retire earlier this year. But after a short break, he clearly missed us (and Tuesdays!) and has decided to come back. You’ll find Paul on the market with a great selection of cards, gift wrap and calendars. Welcome back, Paul! 👋

Next, we have Lloyd, selling door mats, rugs and runners. Lloyd is currently waiting for a new van, so while he’s using his car he can’t accommodate a weatherproof setup. That means we may only see him on the days when the weather is on our side for the next few weeks – but hopefully his new wheels won’t be too far away!

And finally, the lovely Brian! Brian has also made a permanent commitment to the market, and we’re very pleased to have him with us. In the summer, you’ll find a great range of holdalls, suitcases, bags and other leather goods on his stall. Come winter, his stock turns a little more cosy, with scarves, hats, socks and high-quality knitted goods.

A very warm official welcome to all three of you. It’s great to have you as part of our Tuesday market! ❤️

You may have spotted Sew New Ltd on the market over the past few months. They’re not with us every week, but they’ll be joining us as often as time and demand allows, so we thought it was about time we introduced them properly!

Darren joins us on the market stall, but behind the scenes, Heather and Marlene are also an integral part of the business.

If you visited the market this week, you might have spotted that they’re already getting ready for Christmas, with some gorgeous new fabrics on display. Just look at those colours! 🎄

And it seemed like the perfect opportunity to mention that Sew New also run workshops. Head to their website to see the full list, but there are some lovely festive ones coming up, including how to sew an advent calendar and how to make a Christmas star. They sound like great ways to get creative ahead of the festive season!
