Picking today's orders for plus size outdoor gear (and some accessories!).

A little insight into part of my day - which of course also involves packing the orders, replying to emails, speaking to suppliers, making social and other marketing content, and more. As a one-woman business, I do the lot 🙌

I genuinely love picking and packing your orders. Seeing them on their way to new homes and off on exciting adventures!

Did you know I hand write a little message on every packing slip? I hope it's made you smile 😀

I was using my new tote bag from .uk another small British business. It's perfect for picking orders (and I'll 100% be using it for camping trips too).

A plus size brand in Women's Fitness? HELL YESS!

We all need to look after our bodies and mind for a long and healthy life - but when you have a bigger body "fitness" often looks like something we're not, and feels like something we can't achieve.

But that's where we're going wrong.

Fitness isn't a shape, it's working with your body to improve your overall health and wellbeing, physical and mental.

Fitness starts with taking that first step, with setting achievable goals, with adapting to our bodies as they change over our lifetime.

You don't have to be thin to be fit. And being thin doesn't mean you have good fitness.

Being included in a mainstream women's magazine like is incredible. Showing that people with bigger bodies deserve a space in the fitness world. Representation matters, and it's a coup and a half to be featured.

NEW! This is the Waltraud Half Sleeve Plus Size T-shirt from which I am in love with!

It's 'relaxed fit' aka - baggy (even wearing my normal size) and the longer sleeve length means my underarms don't get rubbed by my backpack buckles, and I've got a bit more protection from the sun.

The fabric is light and soft, and very breathable. It wicks sweat away, leaving me feeling less sweaty on hot days or if I've been walking up a hill (IYKYK 😉).

It comes in three cute colours and fits up to a U.K. size 30! Choose your size according to your measurements and the size chart on the product page (they use EU sizing).

Elaine's story 💕 - I am so, so proud of Elaine, one of my amazing ambassadors, for sharing her story with the press.

Five years after her cancer diagnosis she has been given the all clear, and the outdoors has brought her back to herself. Whether it's hiking, camping, cycling or paddleboarding - Elaine goes all in, because life is there for living 😊

But finding plus-size outdoor gear to fit her as she recovered was tough, and that's how she found Vampire Outdoors. And I'm honoured that she said yes to being an ambassador for my business.

She's an incredible person and I am truly grateful to know her and count her as a friend and a part of my team!

Ever felt like the outdoors isn't for you?

When high street shops don't have your size, and outdoorsy magazines don't have photos of people who look like you, it can feel like you don't belong.

But let me tell you this - nature doesn't see you as any different from any other human. And you are as worthy of being 'outdoorsy' as anyone (whatever that looks like for you).

You don't need to spend thousands on fancy gear to get started. And you don't have to scale a mountain to fit in.

Has camping been a no-go for you?

If you've got a bigger body then standard size camping gear just doesn't cut it. So we set out to fix that.

Seeking out brands with (often overlooked) wide sleeping bags, wide and double wide camping mats, high weight capacity camping chairs, and accessories and blankets that just make camping more comfortable!

Yes

Is it super soft, super practical (zip up and 2 large pockets) and fits up to size UK32?

I almost accepted trousers that didn't fit.

And then I remembered what it feels like to have clothing that *actually fits your body*. [swipe to read the story! 👉]

I've been there, I recently bought activewear trousers that didn't *quite* fit but I resigned myself to accepting "good enough". But then I remembered how it feels to have clothing that fits.

Just because you have a bigger body doesn't mean you have to compromise on fit. We scour the globe for brands making genuinely brilliant plus size outdoor clothing that ACTUALLY FITS plus size bodies. Not scaled up from a size 12, not an afterthought, but well designed, cut for movement and comfort, and in materials that stretch and move with your body, not against it.

Our most talked about item at the Expo!
