Looking at my newest white pearl unicorn set today, I have to laugh. 🦄✨ Over 9 years ago, I made my very first unicorn cake. Honestly? Looking back now, it felt so embarrassing! But on a whim, I listed a handmade topper set on eBay just to see what would happen. Suddenly, my life was a whirlwind of rainbows, mermaids, and endless orders. I was selling 15+ sets every single day—but it came with a cost intense 16-hour workdays. ⚡Before I knew it, I was running on absolute empty, sacrificing sleep, and I couldn't even find time to bake actual cakes anymore. I quickly realized I had to raise my prices to respect my time and the skills I was building. There is a huge misconception that working from home means an easy, lazy lifestyle. Short 15-second social media clips make cake art look completely effortless. But the real heart of the baking community happens in the dead of night. It’s sole traders pouring their souls into milestone cakes while their own houses are completely quiet. To every cake designer and home baker out there, you are not lazy. You are resilient, powerful, and worth your weight in gold. 👑 Never look down on your beginnings. The Journey 🧁✨
For years, my little cake topper business was so incredibly busy making, packaging, and running admin as a one-woman band that my whole life revolved around it. I had zero balance, and I was completely burning out.So, I decided to make some quiet changes. 🌿
I fell in love with mindfulness to stay grounded, and I started growing lots of different plants in my garden.
Fascinated by their structures, I began pressing and preserving them in my spare minutes. Now, my 15 years of sugar craft completely intertwines with botanical art! 🌸
I’m still creating my signature sugar foliage, also a few cakes but with a much more peaceful balance alongside my family and my mascot cats, Bloom and Bear. 🐾🐈‍⬛

I am not a polished influencer, nor do I want to be. I’m tired of the fakeness, life is messy in the middle, and we all face challenges along the way. I’ll be posting here quietly, bit by bit, to share real knowledge, recipes, and honest craft. Welcome to my world! 🕊️
