The Store‘s first YouTube video is now live!!!!

It’s taken the best part of the year, but I wanted to create some video content, that gave customers of The Store some insight into how the The Refill system works.
How does The Store work. What does it take. What goes on behind the scenes, why do I work with the people I work with, why do I buy from the people I buy from, what I’m looking for, and how collectively we all need to work together to make a difference.

There’s some amazing businesses out there making such a positive difference in this world, and over the next coming months I’ll be dropping a few behind-the-scenes videos of some of our best selling products.

Hopefully to show you the effort that goes into how they’re made, and what makes them a great product.

I’m so grateful to my friend Ben who has worked on this project with me and done an amazing job capturing the content and helping me tell these stories. This is not our day job, we’re just figuring it out as we go, but hopefully you can enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them!

St Cuthbert’s Street Party 2026 🥳

What a day! Not only did the Sun shine for us, but Bedford showed up!

This party is about celebrating Bedford community. The indie businesses that bring it to life, and the people that showed up for it.

Somewhere to meet old friends, bump into neighbours, and discover some of Bedford’s businesses.

It’s not run with a big events team & budget, just a small street of businesses clubbing together to host a good time.

Hope you had as much fun as we did!

One of our House bakers is on a well deserved holiday so we have a special guest Baker stepping in this week to cover!

And with him, he’s bringing a new product for us - sourdough baguettes! These will be first come first serve, and pre-orders are already coming in for them this week!

I was at Herd having a drink and saw a man throw a bottle out his car window and it fully pi**ed me off BUT then a passer by walked past and threw it back in his car window and I did a mini cheer bcos that kind of social reaction gave me joy

Today I got to meet a true business inspiration UpCircle ✨ We’ve stocked and sold Upcircle for over 5 years and watched them grow and go from strength to strength that I was so excited to go and film a BTS on how they make a sustainable and refillable beauty company work.

Interviewing founder, Anna, on why she and her brother Will started Upcircle, how they went from one product to a whole range rescuing food waste bi-products turning them into natural and ethically made skin care.

A company changing the way we view discarded food waste and showing the world how good natural skincare can be!

Alongside the many businesses on our street we have a number of other pop-ups joining us to add to the fun. A day with lots of food and drink, live music and art displays all day.

The Store x Beerfly are hosting another one of our annual St Cuthbert’s street parties to show off some of the great indie businesses on our street and host a free event for our Bedford community!

We’ll be out on the street all day offering live music, street food, drinks and more to celebrate the end of summer 😎

We’ve also invited several other neighbouring businesses to come and add to the vibe to be able to offer a variety of Bedford’s best ✨ We’ll be posting those soon!
