The youth Participation team striving to bridge the gap between community members and skatepark users - for those wondering; it’s community cohesion in practice!

Our plan is to forever building a culture of progress!
How else will the younger ones learn and the community grow? …after all, that’s what it’s all about right?

There's plenty to see and do at Picnic in the Park, with a fantastic range of free activities for all ages!

You can look forward to:

🎤 Open mic performances
🧱 Lego building station Brick Builders
🎨 Arts and crafts
🎲 Garden games
🌻 Relaxing on the grass and enjoying the atmosphere!

All activities are FREE and open to everyone.

Pack a picnic blanket, bring your friends and family, and join us for a wonderful summer afternoon in the park. 🧺☀️

ROLLBACK IN THE COMMUNITY
Forgotten treasure - We had such a great day over in Shefford with local and traveling riders, community residents, parents and importantly, the Young-Stars who were at first a little shy / intimidated but soon warmed up and had a go; practicing their tricks and crucially, learning how to use a skatepark from the more experienced users.

We always try to bring the vibes and so it’s such a blast seeing the confidence and camaraderie literally grow within a few short hours!

Healthy competition breeds good vibes and is so hard to beat when everyone works together - we only wish we could do more of these!

Thank you to the Mayor and the youth participation team for putting on a great day. We Appreciate you 🙏🏾.

ROLLBACK IN THE COMMUNITY
Mobile Skatepark Hire available for all in Chipping Norton on 22nd August between 12midday and 4pm.

As part of our offering in partnership with the Town Council, participants have free use of equipment and protective gear so all can enjoy the day’s activities.
