The Pit
They overpowered me and threw me down. I cannot scramble up the steep sides and there is nothing and no one to lift me out.
I lift my voice and call out for help , yet no rope is lowered and no ladder offered.
Am I abandoned? Will no one show me mercy?
And then I see it and feel it firm beneath my feet. A rock, a stable place, a foundation of faith and hope. He has never abandoned me. His promises are steadfast and true.
Whatever was meant to harm me will be transformed for His glory if I stand here. Even this will accomplish good.

Genesis 50:20
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

Growth comes after a burning… there will be fruit.

The Forest
It all burned away and the ground was empty and devastated. The old was gone. The diseased and broken turned to ash.
And yet all this is not wasted with you.
You make the new growth spring up.
You cause the shoots to grow.
You create a forest of fruitfulness in the fertile land left after the fire.

The Forest
It all burned away and the ground was empty and devastated. The old was gone. The diseased and broken turned to ash.
And yet all this is not wasted with you.
