Now that my Valentines vintage collection is ready for the 14th it's full steam ahead for birthday market next Thursday evening in Ballymena. I'm pulling out lots of spring fabrics (alongside the other new ones I've already shared in stories this week). If you will be popping in for anything specific please let me know and I'll make sure to bring. I will have our signature reversible double bibs, scrunchies, dummy clips, new baby cards and quilted blankets.

The fabrics look a bit crinkly here because I prewash and tumble everything before I iron and cut out the bibs to sew. I want to ensure that they don't shrink for you, none of the colours run and any dust that could have been collected in storage or transit is all washed away. Ready for your little ones.

Should have enough to keep going with so best get back to it!

🐣 Spring is coming 🌷

We made it through 274936 days of January. The days are getting longer. The first flowers are peeking through. The spring colours are appearing and I am HERE for it.

There is a small selection of ready to post left online. (Thank you for all of your orders in January). The way half term falls I've decided to reopen custom orders on Valentine's Day when I launch the upcycled vintage collection. That way there won't be an unnecessary delay in making your orders. It's just me behind these squares, no extra seamstress or team hiding in my studio.
This business was always designed with flexibility to fit around my two brilliant girls. School holidays are uninterrupted family time and we are looking forward to spending half term with great friends.

POP UP: If you do want a bigger selection than available online I will be popping up in Follow Coffee Ballymena next Thursday 8th with a lovely group of female founded businesses to celebrate 3rd birthday 🎂 See you there!

📦 Ready to Post 📦

I've been sorting out my office (much neglected since packing up from my last market in late December) and have a small box of ready made items that I've uploaded to the website this afternoon.

There are bibs, mega XL scrunchies, large scrunchies, dummy clips and greetings cards. All which can be posted first class in 1-3 working days throughout January. (Design your own is still closed until February.)

January for me is all about picking up everything that has been neglected on my to do list since the summer. Slowly easing out of 2023 and into 2024 (both personally and professionally). Still maping out and getting excited about everything Milk+Joy will involve this year.

Has anyone decided on a word of the year instead of resolutions? Everybody online seems to be well into their goals and new regimes - I'm still working on mine. And that's ok because after all we are only ten days in 😂

2023 was something else with an unexpected rebrand thrown in for good measure. 2024 please be gentle!

So many exciting plans to come but for now I wish you a very Merry Christmas. I'll be sitting with my feet up, in front of this Christmas tree, for the foreseeable ♥️

Hello from Santa's workshop!

I closed up the website end of November and have been sewing away on your orders (and out doing post runs everyday) I'm really enjoying all your stories of your Milk+Joy post arriving. Still a few weeks of sewing left to get out the rest of your orders but I'm working as fast as possible.

Now that I have done a bit of a stock take I have several of my large slate blankets ready to post which make the PERFECT Christmas gift.

Enormous, beautifully soft, quilted muslin blankets.
Not just for babies these big blankets can keep all the kids cosy this season. It's a bed quilt, a play mat, a snuggly afternoon on the sofa or the roof of your den. Fold in half and it's the perfect size to stay warm in the pram or car seat and it can grow to full size with your little one. 100cm x 130cm.

The day is here, calling last orders before Christmas (reopening end of January 2024).

Unfortunately the custom bib listing is misbehaving for people AGAIN today and yesterday. I can see it on both my phone and laptop but it doesn't seem to be opening for people as well on their phone as their computer.

If you would like to place an order and the website isn't working send me a message here and I can process it manually for you.

Final festive Friday - free shipping over £10 until midnight tonight. So many of you already making use of it so thank you for all your orders so far!

Closing the website THIS SUNDAY until late January 2024. This is to make sure that all your handmade to order gifts can get to you in time for festive gifting.

Pebble rattles will be taken off the website around noon today as they will be coming to market with me, but potentially back on Sunday depending on stock levels.

These two lovely girls want you to know that this is the last week to get your hands on our Christmas Lights print online before it's back around Nov 2024.

Designed exclusively for Milk and Joy by local Bangor artist .ingrid, printed onto Oeko-Tex cotton muslin in England and sewn into double bibs and scrunchies in my home studio.

Website closing for orders next Sunday 26th November until end of January 2024.

I can't believe it but the website is closing up for Christmas in 12 days. Current turnaround is about 3/4 weeks so this means I can get all your orders sewn and posted in time for Christmas gifting.

This year has been a WILD ride, I didn't even begin the year under this brand name(!), and I'm so proud of myself getting to this point. Final festive push and a well deserved January off.

So if you need anything online before February now is the time.

We are not participating in Black Friday as such but will have free shipping over £10 on Friday 24th. It's always free over £40 so if you are stocking up for Christmas you will be over the threshold anyway x
