After more than 50 years of serving our community, it is with mixed emotions that I announce that Sloan’s Gas Energy Centre will cease trading and will be closing its doors on 27th June 2026.

Since our family business was established in 1975, we have had the privilege of serving generations of customers across Northern Ireland and beyond.

Following the passing of my father in 2010, I was honoured to continue the business and build upon the foundations he created. Over the years, we have welcomed thousands of customers through our doors, formed lasting friendships, and shared many memorable moments. For that, I will be forever grateful.

I would like to personally thank every customer, supplier, employee, contractor and friend who has supported Sloan’s Gas Energy Centre over the past 51 years. Your loyalty and custom have enabled our family business to thrive for over five decades, and we are deeply appreciative of every purchase, recommendation and kind word along the way.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our current team and to every member of staff who has been part of the Sloan’s Gas Energy Centre family since 1975. Your hard work, dedication, professionalism and commitment to our customers have been the foundation of our success. To those few who have devoted years, and in some cases decades, of service to the business your contribution will never be forgotten.

From 1st July 2026, our LPG cylinder customers will transfer to Calor Gas Ltd under the Calor Direct division, who will continue to provide the high-quality service and reliable supply that our customers have come to expect. We are confident that our LPG customers will be in safe hands and will continue to receive excellent support for many years to come.

In addition, our long-established telephone number, 028 9064 3049, will remain active, and enquiries relating to gas appliance installations, servicing and maintenance will continue to be directed to trusted and experienced gas engineers, ensuring customers can still access professional support when required.

A Closing Down Sale with substantial reductions across all showroom stock is now active and everything must go, so now is the perfect opportunity to take advantage of some exceptional bargains while stocks last.

We would love to welcome customers old and new over the coming weeks before we close the showroom at the end of June. While this marks the end of an era, the memories, friendships and relationships built over the last five decades will remain with us forever.
