For Yvonne
I had the honour to create Yvonne’s flowers for her final journey. Family requested no other flowers asking for donations to Yve and her Husband Greg often raised for Cancer charities at gigs. She was a very special lady whom I was fortunate to have met.
She brought such light into the room and she was as beautiful on the outside as on the inside. I knew I had to create something truly special and worthy. Learning of her favourite colour purple and what I knew of her. I used the language of flowers to convey a meaningful floral tribute.
Deep & purple kiss calla lilies symbolise royalty, charm, passion, and refined grace.
Alstroemeria for support of friends through the trails and tribulations of life.
Pink Gerbera for fun & joy
Lavender seagrass for protection
Prickly berry heath In symbolic lore, it represents the necessity of guarding your energy, setting firm boundaries, and keeping a protective barrier against external harm. It symbolises the ability to withstand harsh conditions and prolonged adversity while remaining vibrant and unchanged.

The majestic purple delphinium spike mimics a royal scepter, making it a symbol of grace, regality, and luxury.
Pink Nerines heavily symbolise endurance, hope, and the ability to shine brightly through difficult times.
I had to add a nod to the love of her life. Her Husband Greg’s distinctive hair. With the blonde tipped spider chrysanthemums which hold meanings of respect, joy, optimism, longevity, and friendship.
Purple Protea pincushions symbolise royalty, mystery, charm, and grace.
Transformation and Resilience. Like all proteas named after the Greek shape-shifting god Proteus, the purple variety honors adaptability, inner strength, and embracing life’s changes.
The name Yvonne translates to Yew Tree I foraged the branches to feature throughout The yew tree symbolises the paradox of life, death, and immortality. Her memory will never die in the hearts and minds of those who have met her.
While creating I placed intentions within the Tribute. She is now at peace and my hope was that the flowers brought a little comfort. RIP

For Codie,
Who received these on returningafter a romantic city break. She already knows how loved she is. So these flowers were sent simply because she deserves such beauty.
This is the second arrangement I have created for this lucky girl. So I know a little bit about what she likes. Red and blacks. This one features some deep purples. Which is the colour of royalty.
The protea for Grace & Majesty: The regal tones of purple combined with the crown-like shape of varieties like the King Protea symbolise royal elegance, and inner power.
Purple & Pink Erica Represents deep admiration, appreciation, and beauty.
Chocolate Lace flowers for, A Haven of Deep Love & Passion. The traditional meaning of Queen Anne’s lace is “sanctuary” or “haven”. When the blooms are dark red or plum, this sanctuary takes on a deeply romantic connotation. It represents finding a safe harbor, comfort, and a passionate home within another person.
Then we have the gorgeous red roses. In the language of flowers, the red rose is the ultimate, universal symbol of romantic love, passion, and deep devotion. While many flowers carry multiple or subtle meanings, the red rose has held a singular, powerful message across cultures for centuries. In Victorian floriography, it explicitly meant “I love you.”
Finished with black sorghum for, Gratitude & Reward. Historically, presenting someone with broomcorn or sorghum was a way to celebrate the hard-earned fruits of labor, representing prosperity and security.

lilies & Roses where the special request to wish a beautiful wife Happy Birthday.
Without the use of red roses. I had fun with these Hot Lip roses for this hot mama.
As well as the the hot pink sweetheart roses that matched perfectly with the cerise pink asters that symbolise intense affection, deep emotional sensitivity, and a vibrant, enduring love.

Much like humans no flowers are completely identical. No arrangement can be. But what is the same for both off these. Is how deserving both these woman are to receive a gift from a sister whose heart is filled with love for these woman. Who wanted to them to receive a surprise to express her gratitude and compassion.
These arrangements feature the Pink Alstroemeria. It is the flower that reminds us that despite the trials and tribulations of life. Beauty and joy will conquer.
It is finished off with some pink silk worm grass . This holds symbolism of renewal & rebirth. The pink for sisterhood and support of each other through difficult times.

This is disgraceful. Only on Friday my child came home from school so excited to tell me the story of the Salmon of Knowledge. I had never heard of this legend and was delighted her new teacher taught her this. She had referenced the “Big Fish”, that we have many photos of her from Baby with the iconic sculpture. That we had made plans to pop over today to get a new photo for our collection.
I can’t bare to show her this. To explain why anyone would recklessly destroy a work of art that so many enjoy. This would tarnish her innocent mind and trust of her fellow man. She will have a lifetime of the knowledge & confusion of evil within the world we live. That I will never be able to shield her from. For now I can only maintain & delay.
I hope that the artist can work on restoring this piece soon and the criminal is forced to pay and apologise.

Floral Tribute for my own Granny & Granda’s grave.
My Uncle was visiting from England and wanted a wee posy with yellow flowers to bring to his parents resting place. He was very clear that he didn’t want any of that free for family nonsense. Though I did take some artistic license.
The gladiolus for My Granda not only had he grown them in his garden. They represent strength of character, resilience, and moral integrity. Because gladioli grow on remarkably sturdy, unyielding stalks, they traditionally symbolise a person who "stands tall" in their convictions and remains upright through life's storms. Despite his stature, years of hard labour took its toll and he was taken far too early.
For my granny I picked the vintage rose. This rose carries one of the highest plant frequencies known (320 MHz), which directly resonates with the heart chakra promoting emotional healing, compassion, and unconditional love. My Granny was the beating heart of the whole family. When her heart failed her the family was never the same. But Kathleen got to be back in the arms of her beloved Patrick.

This arrangement features pink phlox flowers that symbolise Sweet Dreams. The flower is historically tied to wishing someone peaceful rest and positivity.

In the language of flowers, they represent warm affection and harmony. The phlox serves as a reminder of how much she is valued and cared for.

This arrangement is filled with limoium. Which stand’s for Success and Resilience. Because the plant natively thrives in harsh, salty coastal conditions, the Victorians assigned it the meaning of success against the odds and dauntlessness.
