Asking for help is one of the bravest things you can do — and one of the hardest.
There is nothing that can’t be talked about, sorted out, looked at, and worked out. It may take time, but it can be done with a little help.
Just start by talking to a stranger, a professional, a friend, or a loved one. They will only be too happy to support you and help you through — far more than the alternative of the devastation it causes to families and friends. That ripple effect of grief is indescribable: the endless questions of why?, could I have done more?, why did I not notice?, and the heavy weight of guilt.
This heartbreak hit our family directly, and it’s the reason I opened A Wee Token Gift Shop. Beyond providing for my three children, this shop became my wee sanctuary — a place where customers feel safe enough to open up and share their own stories of grief, hardship, and life-changing circumstances.
If you are struggling today, please know this: You are loved. You are wanted here. And there is no judgement. 💛
