Northern Ireland’s food and drink sector continues to grow 🥘
Lidl Northern Ireland has unveiled its 2026 Kickstart Supplier Development Programme line-up, with 16 local producers set to bring 30 new products to shelves across all 44 NI stores this September.
Since launching in 2018, the programme — backed by NIFDA — has invested more than £4 million into local agri-food businesses, helping Northern Irish brands scale production, grow retail presence and expand internationally.
This year’s cohort includes names such as Jawbox Gin, Mac Ivors Cider, Bro38 Coffee, Moocha Kombucha, Nugelato, Whoosh and many more local businesses from across Armagh, Down, Tyrone and Derry.
The latest Kickstart class highlights the strength of Northern Ireland’s agri-food industry, with products ranging from premium spirits and kombucha to gluten-free noodles, protein snacks, sauces and ready-to-cook meal solutions.
Previous participants have gone on to secure permanent Lidl listings and expand into markets across the UK, Europe and the USA.
