I was trying something new things out earlier, firstly, a spot of relicing on this neck and headstock. Its not normally something I do, or would want done to a guitar that I was going to buy. Some people prefer it, some people prefer that it happens naturally.
Why did I do it? This chameleon paint had a really strange distribution as it came out of the nozzle of the can. Ok, yes I used a can rather than an air brush this time. No matter how many coats I was giving it, the grain of the wood was still visible under the paint. Yes, I had primed with a black undercoat. So I got the sandpaper out and went to work on the neck giving it such a smooth worn in feel, and then around a few of the edges.
The second new thing is this new shape of headstock, that I kind of wanted to be reminiscent of a scalpel blade in an offset kind of way, to match the offset body and give a nod to my previous profession. We'll call this one a prototype. I think i'll need to make the logo a bit bigger for this design and match it to the curvature of the sharp edge. I suppose each of my guitars are unique in their own way anyway.

To continue Tele Thursday, its finally finished. Earlier we had the Tea flame, I suppose you could call this the Sea flame. This one has a waxed matt finish and again a bound body. I like the colour separation that a bound body gives. Again, we have lockable tuners and a nut cut to give 0.6mm action at the 1st fret. This time a matched pair of Seymour Duncan '59 JBs, both splitable of course via push push pots on the controls for both a growl and a purr and everything in-between.
I have gone a little experimental with the bridge setup here... what is typically a jazzmaster bridge paired with a Les Paul tailpiece. Its a special kind of JM bridge to allow this where the saddles allow for a wide range of string spacing.
You guys get 1st dibs at this one, I'll give it a week or so before I formally list it.

Tele Thursday, Gorgeous flamed tea coloured and bound body in something akin to the Nashville style, except of course with the Banshee Twist... so you could say its the Banshee Twist-Tea Style Custom Guitar.
The Twist? In the neck position we have a Seymour Duncan JB '59 that is splitable via the push push tone pot, the middle has a Toltec single coil and the bridge position has a RonYin Snocaster single coil telecaster pickup.
The roast maple neck has a lovely grain, some lockable tuners for easy string changing and the nut has been cut for a 0.6mm action at the 1st fret, and the Wilkinson bridge allows for through body stringing.
This one is still available, [email protected]

New Banshee Custom ready today. A To***co burst ash body with a maple neck. 2 hotrails and a super hot double hotrail in the bridge position. Microswitches to split coils for less heat. 2 point modern tremolo system.
It was a lovely day today, so I took some photos outside. It showed up some really shiny frets but it doesn't allow for easy colour perception. Some nice reflections.

Some Custom T Style progress today.
Staining and 15 nitro coats done and polished gently.
A bit of an identity crisis / mixup going on here for the craic
Jazzmaster style bridge, LP tailpiece, Tele body and to be powered by a pair of Seymour Duncan SH 4 humbuckers which I intend to have a coil splitting option on via 2 push pull pots.
For some tips on bridge placement see individual photos for commentary.
This one will be up for sale.
