It's been a while since anything has been posted. Lazy summer vibes going on. Despite them I have slowly seen a couple of projects from beginning to end.
You are looking at a Banshee Keening II, which is a solid body Jazzmaster style guitar, featuring a top of the range Mastery bridge, lockable tuners, handwound Toltec pickups, CTS pots, Switchcraft switches, a Treble bleed, a kill button, a 5 position Arctec tone circuit and a Soviet military grade PIO capacitor on the natural tone pot! I believe they are used in their tanks, so if me using them on my tone circuits prevents a tank rolling out then all the better. Make riffs not war!
Now what's stopping me from stringing this one up is that I cant decide on cream or white pickup covers! The cream matches in nicely with my cream binding on the roasted maple neck but I also reckon white ones would be more striking. Hmmmm. I'm awaiting white ones being delivered, then I'll make that call and finish this beauty off.
I've also taken to scalloping my nuts whilst I have my files out adjusting the height of the strings as they emerge from it. This model of course has a bleached bone nut installed, just to keep things top end.
My next post will show another finished prototype I have been working on that features a scalloped bone nut.
