Well, in less than 36 hours, my lovely sister, Anna, and I will be setting off on our Race the Sun challenge on the Jurassic Coast.

Raising vital funds for , we’ll be Cycling 34 miles, Hiking 8 miles and Kayaking 2 miles around HILLY Dorset 🤣🤣🙈🙈

I’m a little scared now but super excited. Anna has been amazing remembering all the sensible and important bits we need, puncture repair kit, gloves etc - I customised our T Shirts so you know - that’s vital right? 🙈🤣

All good things must come to an end and the time has come to hang up my apron.

What a 7 and a half years it’s been, growing my little business from nothing when we moved to Quarndon, knowing absolutely nobody in the area and taking a chance on myself so I could be present for the kids whilst they were growing up.
Although they’ll probably tell you, the most heard phrase was, ‘soon, I just need to finish this cake’, I was there, making dinner, helping with homework, listening to little and big news and cuddling the tears away. All of this was so important to me and all your lovely custom allowed me to do that and for that I will always be so grateful.

I have been offered an exciting opportunity to get back to an office environment, working with such lovely people in a fabulous company. My daughters are grown, my arms are aching and it’s time.

I’ll be forever grateful to all of you for your orders, your friendship and your support. And the community and friendship of other bakers is something to be thankful for.

I couldn’t have done it without the support of my lovely family, big shout out to my wonderful Mum who has baked, cleaned and washed up every week for years - it’s made such a difference and your support as always was unwavering.

Obviously any orders that I’ve taken will be fulfilled and my bakes will still be available at your favourite coffee shops for the next few weeks.

Thanks so much to you all, I truly appreciate each and every one of you.

As some of you will know, my Sister, Anna and I are taking part in Race the Sun, for in September down in Dorset.

As part of our fundraising efforts I have created this scrummy Charity Treat Box for just £15. At least £10 from the sale of each box will go to Action Medical Research to help us reach our goal of £950.

The challenge consists of a 34 mile bike ride, an 8 mile hike and a 2 mile kayak around the very hilly Jurassic Coast.

If you’d like to purchase a treat box, they’re available from the 1st July right up until the challenge at the end of September.

The box consists of
2 brownie
2 millionaires shortbread
2 cherry and almond slice
2 raspberry and white chocolate blondie
2 chocolate chip shortbread biscuits

Quite the bargain at just £15.

Certainly had worse mornings 😋😍☀️

Whilst is walking in the hills around Grasmere all day, I thought it would be rude not to enjoy the shores of Lake Windermere.

I was going to drive to Low Wray this afternoon (I still might) just to go to the amazing but then saw a sign for Joeys really near my hotel so thought I’d try there first. They really never disappoint. No frangipane today but a delicious apricot flapjack 😋😍

Really don’t know what I’m going to do for the rest of the day with all this sunshine, amazing views and fabulous coffee and cake to sample - it’ll be hard but I’ll battle through xx

Beautiful stroll around Shining Cliff Wood and Bear Lake this afternoon- about all my knees could manage.

Beautiful bluebells, gorgeous views and the classic walking 15m in front of me as always.

Gutted that the new little horse box refreshments was closed by the time we were done but absolutely cannot wait to go back and try there next time 😍
