If you are not doing anything THIS SUNDAY - how about a day trip to Berkhamsted with our famous Artisan and Makers Market on the High street. Explore the market then enjoy the town - History, Fun, Hospitality, Countryside, and its all within a few steps of the High Street and the Station and the car parks. .

Going to see the Bayeux Tapestry ? Did you know Berkhamsted is featured (on the extended section) - showing the Anglo Saxon hierarchy surrendering to William the Conquerer after the Battle of Hastings and offering him the crown !! That happened here. So if you are looking for somewhere to take the kids in the school holidays, come and visit Berko, see a bit if history, and have a picnic in the castle. There’s a great playground too, the Grand Union Canal, beautiful Chilterns countryside, the River Bulbourne with its kingfishers and of course if you come in a Sunday chances are there will be a great street market too. Berkhamsted market was going strong in 1066 and is still going… Our next market is Sunday August 9th and we have some amazing stalls so come and enjoy a Market Sunday in Berkhamsted. Everything is within a few minutes walk of the High street including the Station if you want to come by train.

We are a friendly fun market on Berkhamsted High Street on the 2nd Sunday of the month. August 9th is our next market, and Berkhamsted is a lovely town with “ nice people” or so our regular stall holders tell me. If you’ve been wondering whether to give us a try we have some additional spaces in August.

One of the biggest events of the year in Berkhamsted. High street closed to traffic and packed with families. A really fun event to celebrate the switch on of the towns xmas lights. you can find details on https://www.stallfinder.com, or contact the town council directly [email protected] , if you would like to have a stall on the High Street.
