A little thank you from all of us at Four Acres ❤️

It’s hard to believe it’s been four years since I took over Four Acres Nursery in 2022. I genuinely couldn’t have imagined the amount of support, kindness and encouragement we would receive.

Four Acres has always meant far more to me than somewhere that simply sells plants. It’s a place full of memories, familiar faces and people who have been coming through our gates for years.

Since taking over, we’ve grown more of our own plants, introduced new ranges, changed displays and moved things around more times than I’d like to admit! But throughout everything, the most important part of Four Acres has remained the same — the people who support us.

Whether you visit every week, pop in occasionally, recommend us to a friend, leave 5 star reviews, share a post or simply stop for a chat — thank you. It genuinely means more than you probably realise.

Coming into work and seeing familiar faces never gets old. All the conversations and laughs make the long days worthwhile. There’s something very special about the community around Four Acres. Gardens have a wonderful way of bringing people together.
And often it’s the smallest conversations that stay with you. The adventures around Four Acres, from growing tens of thousands plants, to tractors driving through the gates, and the many garden lovers that show us their beautiful cats and dogs, the usual organised chaos wouldn’t feel the same without you.
Everyone who visits becomes a small part of the Four Acres story.

To everyone who has supported us since 2022, and those who supported my family here long before that — thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We genuinely wouldn’t be here without you. ❤️

🌿 Plant of the Week – Nursery Grown Salvias! 🌿

Bring months of colour, pollinators and effortless beauty to your garden with our nursery grown Salvia ‘Ostfriesland’ and Salvia ‘Schneehügel’, both grown right here at Four Acres Nursery!

💜 Salvia ‘Ostfriesland’
A stunning variety producing rich violet-purple flower spikes from early summer right through into autumn. Reaching around 45–60cm (18–24”), it’s perfect for the front or middle of sunny borders, creating a beautiful contrast against softer planting.

🤍 Salvia ‘Schneehügel’
A beautiful pure white flowering salvia that flowers just as freely, growing to around 40–50cm (16–20”). It pairs perfectly with purple salvias, roses and ornamental grasses to create a bright, elegant display.

🌱 How to grow
✔ Plant in a sunny spot with well-drained soil.

✔ Remove faded flower spikes to encourage repeat flowering throughout the summer.
✔ Cut back old growth in early spring as fresh shoots appear.

Nursery Grown Asters – Alpha Dark Purple & Alpha Light Pink

If you’re looking to keep your garden bursting with colour as summer begins to fade, our nursery-grown Asters are an absolute must-have! 💜🩷

The stunning Alpha Dark Purple produces masses of rich violet-purple daisy-like flowers, while Alpha Light Pink is covered in soft pastel pink blooms that brighten up any border. Both varieties flower from late summer right through into autumn, providing one of the last big displays of the gardening season when many other plants are slowing down.
