This week has been extra busy! We’ve had lots of deliveries arriving, and now that everyone’s off school it finally feels like the summer season has properly started. ☀️😊

I haven’t been in the shops as much as I’d have liked because I’ve been busy behind the scenes sorting deliveries, filling shelves, placing orders and tackling all the admin that comes with running a small business….or two!🙈

I’m incredibly grateful to my lovely team for keeping everything running so smoothly and a special thank you to my little mini me for helping out the last few evenings.💖

Our boozy shelves are full of locally made delights, including Lindisfarne Mead. If you can’t make it to Holy Island, call in to the Seagulls Nest where you’ll find 8 different varieties of mead to choose from.
Lindisfarne Mead is produced using traditional methods at St. Aidan’s Winery on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. The heady fortified wine uses honey sourced worldwide to create the perfect balance.
It has an ABV of 14.5% and is a unique blend of honey and wine with the sweetness of the honey lingering on the palate.
While it has a very pale appearance, the taste of Lindisfarne Mead yields a subtle acidity with a medium body of sweetness. It achieves a dry-sweet balance that gives this drink a more refreshing taste than other meads.
