One photo because Iโm a recovering perfectionist and refusing to succumb to the Insta pressure for a perfectly curated summer dump ๐ค
For anyone new here, Iโm Abbi ๐ Puddles had been a daydream of mine for years before, almost by accident, I found myself standing outside an empty little shop in Berwick whilst visiting a friend post-Covid, with Shakira my long-haired mini dachshund / sidekick / goddess by my side, and decided to finally do it.
She was there for all the early days at no.12, late-night faffing and first customers, and I know lots of you have been missing her around the shop lately too ๐พ
These days Iโm also a totally solo mum to Seb, so while nurseryโs been closed Iโve been much more absent from Puddles than usual, mostly living on toddler time and trying to soak up a summer that seems to be disappearing far too quickly.
Iโm so grateful for itโฆ but despite the girls on the shop floor being amazing, Iโm also absolutely dying to get back properly. Apologies to anyone whoโs caught me supposedly โoffโ but frantically tweaking the cards, moving a display or popping in for five minutes and somehow still being there half an hour later. I genuinely canโt help myself.
I also had to pop in to inspect the new Eulenschnitt delivery and fear I may finally be cheating on our faithful Lurpak Spreadable because Iโve fallen for a proper butter dish ๐ No photo evidence yet, but Iโll share the newness properly when Iโm back.
And after wanting proper signage for West Street pretty much since the moment I opened, seeing our new signs finally go up has felt like such a win. Very grateful for the indomitable force of like-minded neighbours who kept pushing. They do say good things take time ๐ฅ
Weโre open this Bank Holiday Monday, 11โ4, and Iโm back more reg from the 8th & sooo excited and ready for an autumn faff ๐ป
