I really love anything green, so prehnite is an obvious favourite of mine :)

Each photo is of a different piece; the first two are in my Etsy shop, the others on eBay... but all are a pretty pastel colour, and have unusual fan-like formations. Number #3 is perhaps my favourite for it's clarity, whereas number 5 has a little white crystal, too!

I know I'm *supposed* to be pleased when I make a sale, but going through the old photos on my insta feed actually makes me a bit sad.

I remember every single crystal that's passed through my hands, and I'd have kept them if my husband wouldn't scold 'baby!' with the disapproval of a dad who's toddler has sandpapered the brand new rosewood speakers (Fun Fact: It's me. I was that toddler).

It's a bit like saying goodbye to my own collection. Even though they aren't mine, I handpick everything as if I'm shopping for myself. I actually have some old stock I should put on sale to make room for new pretties, but they're some of my favourites and I don't want them to go!

My own collection is meagre for a crystal seller. I have more tumbles than anything decorative (there's no space! boo!), and almost everything is green, bar a raw piece of amethyst from my dad, and a carnelian moon. I guess that's why I love my stock so much; they're the extension to my collection that I dream about!

Still, at least someone gets to enjoy the prettiness I've curated, and it means the world when I hear they love it just as much as I do :)

This purple mica palm stone is newly listed today, and it's another piece I'll be sad to see go. It has the most ridiculous silvery flash - all over, on BOTH sides!!! - and there's even a quartz inclusion. I have no idea how my wholesaler managed to source these so cheaply (they're usually three times the cost!), but it's the last one I have available. I doubt I'll get anymore of this quality and price again.

Maybe I should keep it...! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ’œ

I'm a little in love with this fire quartz alpaca πŸ¦™ I usually prefer carvings that are more realistic, but my wholesaler's alpaca carvings are so cartoony with their adorable oversized heads, I can't help but adore them!

He needs a name, I think; how about Alvin the Alpaca?

Alvin is a translucent, fiery orange, with areas of deeper red, and rainbows for days!

There's also a high quality golden quartz alpaca (henceforth called Alana) on my shop, which I'll showcase later :)

Gobi agate palm stones are my new favourite thing!

They come from the Gobi desert, and are estimated to be 450-500 million years old (whaaaaat!!!!). I've noticed they're often translucent if held up to a light source, and I think they feel like sea-glass.

This particular piece has come from the Mongolian side of the Gobi desert... and it might just be me, but the colour and patterning reminds me of a frog :)

I have a couple of crystal pet-peeves, but the thing that drives me insane is the mis-labelling of minerals to make them seem more marketable.

For example, most people would recognise this as sphalerite, even though it doesn't have a speck of sphalerite in it. It's actually a vug of chalcedony (though sometimes it can be fluorite), coated in quartz druzy, and it's pretty enough that it doesn't need to be labelled as something it isn't.

This piece is is over 1kg, and it looks ever so pretty when it glitters in the sun. Is it me, or does it look like the sugary druzy would be satisfying to CRUNCH?!

We have several pieces of seraphinite between Etsy and eBay, but this piece is my favourite - it has a cluster of little yellow crystals! πŸ’› I think they're calcite, but I can't tell without destroying them in acid :(

As typical of seraphinite, this has chatoyant, silvery feathers which are really pretty in the light.

Well, last month was certainly a hectic one!

I've photographed the biggest order of stock I've ever had, and finally bit the bullet and opened an eBay shop!

It contains 'sneak peek' crystals that are similar to other pieces in our Etsy shop, and waiting in the queue, so to speak.

If something doesn't speak to you, it's worth checking on eBay to see if there's a different piece that catches your eye πŸ‘οΈ

This pink carnelian sphere is one of those pieces; it has a milky translucence to it, and reminds me of strawberry nesquik :)

Our new eBay shop page is below, if you'd like to have a look!

Sprocket and I are taking a short break to look after my aunt's gorgeous doggo, Bella (does that make her my furry cousin?), so the shop is closed until 12 June.

That being said, I'm still available for any queries on Etsy, and in the meantime, I have some sneak-peeks to share!

This gorgeous chrysocolla malachite slab will be listed sometime in the next fortnight - look at that colour! πŸ’šπŸ’™

Well, updating social media every day lasted less than a week. That's worse than even I anticipated πŸ˜…

In fairness it has been a bit crazy... for example, today I've been GARDENING! I can't even keep a succulent alive, but I'm tired of my bearded dragon turning his nose up at his greens. Here's to hoping he finds fresh dandelions, primrose and hedge mustard tastier than the usual offerings... and that they live long enough for him to at least try them!

If, like me, you have the opposite of a green thumb - what is that anyway?! - you might want to join me in just having some pretty crystal flowers instead.

Sure, they don't help purify the air, or feed your reptiles, but at least they never wither and make you feel guilty!
