We can hardly believe we’re only on our second edition of Your Villages - and already, the magazine has grown!

The response to our first edition has been incredible, so a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us. We’re also delighted to welcome a number of new advertisers this month, helping us continue to share the stories, businesses and people at the heart of our local communities ❤️

Inside our October edition, Bicester Foodbank talks to us about Harvest Festival, we hear from Bicester Hockey Club, and Bunkers Hill Garden Shop shares some autumn gardening inspiration. Hangar Vaults Ltd also tells us about its fascinating passion project at Upper Heyford, within the former RAF Cold War shelters.

Our Village Spotlight continues with Launton, taking a closer look at the history, places and people behind the village 🏡

Plus, our Spot the Icons competition is back, with pumpkins hiding throughout the magazine! We also have the chance for five families to win a treat at Alex’s Creperie in Woodstock.

Wow! Thank you Cherwell Business Awards and everyone associated with it, we are still in shock but absolutely over the moon with our win and recognition.
The town and all our fabulous customers are truly at the heart of everything we do. We want Bicester to be used, be that because of our fabulous traders, and/or every other business in the town centre.
We are trader managed and financed and put any excess funds back into our traders (low rent, free rent initiatives), and the community (community stalls, competitions, a place to visit and chat, variety, competitive prices).
The market has easily doubled in size over the last 6 years and we never take our community support for granted and always remain positive.

We have never been recognised like this before. Markets are often disregarded despite being the heart of so many places.

Well done to the other two great nominees in the category, Lone Wolf Comedy Club and Stanley’s Sweets and Treats.

It was a fabulous event, showcasing what is great in Cherwell.

Our community stalls were purchased by the traders and are extremely popular for a multitude of different bookings.
Free to use for many organisations and very useful for fundraising.
With a certain busy period quickly approaching, make enquiries now if you are interested.
