David Van Rooyen recently bought on of our Regent 363 organs, he put a lot of faith in us, and we were so pleased to hear that he was delighted with his instrument. These are David's kind words
"Living in South Africa meant that I had the challenge of learning about Viscount’s product range, the sound-engine modelling science, and the specifics of each organ by email. In that email exchange with Richard Patt, Viscount’s General Sales Manager, he had to put up with a fussy, and occasionally confused, customer, but I was blessed with his patience and stamina.
Richard helped me to make sense of an instrument and a technology that were quite foreign to me when all I had to go on was my internet research, the Viscount website, and his word, without me visiting the showroom, sitting at, or hearing what the organ sounded like. Another challenge for me, was the South African bureaucracy relating to the importation of digital organs from the UK. There too, I was blessed to have the assistance of a friend and colleague, Allison Alan-Brown, who patiently and calmly guided me through the maze. I remain sincerely grateful to both for their unfailing courtesy and fortitude.
As for the organ itself, visually the Regent 363 grabs attention, showing high standards in attention to detail in the console, the bench, and the Oak finish. Allison, who supervised the unpacking, rates the instrument build and packaging as “top-notch”. For her as the importer, Viscount was “a pleasure to deal with, and very responsive in all logistics and technical queries”.
The on-going challenge for me, and a pleasurable one at that, is discovering what I can do with the huge resources that the organ makes available to me. Every day is a fresh learning experience."
