We’re Sally & John from The Ginger Pig Catering Company, a small local business with a big love for good food and making your special occasions memorable. ❤️
Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering, birthday celebration, family party or your dream wedding, we’re happy to cater for both small and large bookings.
We pride ourselves on homemade food, using local produce wherever possible. And we’re not a “drop it off and disappear” caterer — we stay for as long as you need us, helping make sure everything runs smoothly so you can enjoy your day.
Our catering can include BBQs, paellas, hog roasts, traditional carveries, hot & cold buffets, charcuterie, grazing food, homemade sweet treats, desserts, crumble & custard and lots more. If you have something particular in mind, just ask!

We did a wedding yesterday of hog roast, a variety of different sides, quiches, cheeseboard, cakes and desserts. This message was sent to us before the wedding was even finished. This is what makes us stand out by going above and beyond for every guest!

What an amazing feast at Toni and Mike's wedding in Exmouth this afternoon! Being a Coeliac I always have to be very careful what I eat, and the preparation of the food. And all glutenfree, wow. Your gf quiche was delicious, and the gf dessert in the glass cup was so yummy 😋 Thank you SO much for catering for me. Made my day!

The Ginger Pig Company – absolutely amazing from start to finish!

Sally and John took away all of the stress and worry about whether there would be enough food for our guests. From the tasting sessions right through to our wedding day, they were incredibly supportive, listening to our ideas, offering advice, and helping us every step of the way.

By the end, they felt more like friends than just caterers. They were so friendly, approachable, and genuinely invested in making our day special.

The food was outstanding and there was plenty of it! For our wedding breakfast, we chose a BBQ with burgers, sausages, chicken, and pork belly bites. In the evening, we went with a Yorkshire-meets-Devon theme, including pasties, Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, stuffing, pigs in blankets, and even a gravy fountain! Our guests haven’t stopped talking about how delicious it all was.

What really stood out was how far Sally and John went to accommodate everyone. One guest had forgotten to tell us they were gluten-free, and Sally went above and beyond to source a suitable dessert for them. Another guest, who is a very fussy eater, was kindly made a bowl of pasta by Sally, complete with Heinz ketchup, and she even left it in the on-site cottage for them to enjoy later—despite the fact they had actually managed to eat one of the burgers!

Sally and John consistently went above and beyond, exceeding both our expectations and their own responsibilities to ensure we and our guests were happy.

I must also thank them for their thoughtful gift of Mr & Mrs Colin the Caterpillar cakes, inspired by an idea I had mentioned. It was such a lovely and personal touch.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! You helped make our wedding day perfect, and we cannot recommend The Ginger Pig Company highly enough.

To my partner in crime, best friend and most annoying person I know. Happy 14th Anniversary to us. What a year! At one point I thought we wasnt going to make it but thanks to the amazing NHS and my beautiful 2nd hand 50 year old kidney we did. Its been a hard recovery but hopefully nearly there. Time now to start booking things and living life again. Love you always x
