Gearbox switcheroo….🔧⚙️⛓️🔩

Nothing broken from the original one but now it’s time to fit the Quaife close ratio gearset box that I tore apart earlier in the year.

Very excited and keen to try it out.

I honestly hit more traffic from Dover to Scotland than I did the whole of Europe 😳

Just a sample of today.
My first time at SPA so please be kind 😂

Was getting flustered as oils getting hot so missed my apex before Eau Rouge and should have been in 2nd not 3rd but once the engine got back into its power band it’s go time. Absolutely epic racing a 150k Porsche into Eau Rouge
Let them by after as I simply don’t have a low enough diff ratio.
Felt absolutely gutted for the MX-5 as it looked like it hit the barrier, hopefully kitty litter stopped it in time.

But in all honesty, how the hell does Bella pound round, lap after lap in this heat🥵☀️
Absolutely first class, didn’t skip a beat.
Monitoring oil temps, block 103.C and tank 115.C
Individual cylinder egt were getting close to 900.C but happily alarm function starts warning me at 850.C so after one cooldown lap brings all data back to an acceptable level.

Can’t wait for Scottish weather 😂

Was approached by a spectator asking what engine I have as he thought it was a motorbike engine.
A forced fed Duratec that was confused for a bike engine. I’ll take it! Dude officially made my day.
How I never got black flagged for noise is a godsend😂

It reminds me of the Minis and Mustangs at Goodwood, mustangs blasting past the minis in the straights but the minis come charging back in the corners 😃
