From April 1972 until March 2015 H&H Electronics were Biggleswade’s premiere AV retailer specialising in the Panasonic and Technics brands.
Formed by Richard Headford and Pete Hutchinson in 1972 the business steadily grew and after moving to new premises in 1981 H&H really started to get noticed for all the right reasons. Offering a wide selection of Audio Visual products as well as having an in-house workshop and offering aerial and satellite services, the H&H name became synonymous with quality products and unrivalled customer service.
After Pete Hutchinson retired in 1992 a second branch was added in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. This branch was one of Panasonics ‘exclusive’ Panasonic Technics Centres, further strengthening the tie-up with the Panasonic brand.
H&H’s finest hour was undoubtedly during the digital switchover period from late 2010 to late 2011 where the team were very busy ensuring all their customers were ready for the forthcoming changes in TV broadcasting. Open days, talks in Town halls and retirement homes were held and the reach of H&H extended further than ever.
In 2015, after 43 years at the helm, Richard Headford decided to retire and H&H manager, Phil Sheldon decided to grasp the nettle and continue the H&H tradition of offering quality products and unbeatable customer service.
Operating from smaller premises in Hitchin St, Biggleswade Sheldon Electricals offers the same range of products and services combined with the same customer service H&H customers have come to expect.
