Up close with a unicorn: a rare Rickenbacker 4002 in for recommission at Malone Guitars 🛠️✨
This one’s extra special — a dual bridge pickup (two in one!) with one output running straight to an XLR jack. Yes, XLR on a Ric… on THIS Ric.
Counting the quirks, preserving the mojo, bringing it back to stage-ready.
Would you run the XLR clean or colour it with grit?
Favorite Ric tone: bridge bite or blended growl?
Oh, and can you spot the other small detail that I didn’t mention in the video, that you’ve never seen on a 4003 and tell me in the comments!

I’m really excited to be able to say I’ve been appointed as a demonstrator/installer for the amazing MayTrem vibrato systems!
There will be much more to come on this, including demos and some instruction videos, so I need to get cracking with the demo build.
