I finally have a website to showcase and (hopefully!) sell some of my art.
Please take a look at my website, profits from sales of my prints will go to Parkinson's UK

parkypeterart.com showcases the abstract art which I started as a form of therapy for coping with Parkinson’s disease. Over the last three years I have created over 100 random pieces of art with a number of different themes.

Not a great photo but these give you an idea of how three similar themed (circles?!) prints look in frames with borders.

Hi, my name is Peter and I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in August 2013. Despite this I continued running my own landscaping business working full time until 2018, finally retiring in 2020. Parkinsons is a progressive neurological disease which has no cure and can, to some extent, be managed by medication. Some symptoms are worse than others. I suffer from dyskinesia which, in my case, is the uncontrollable writhing movement of my whole body. This can come and go at any time without warning. I am told that this is due to a medication imbalance, no two days are the same. I also have curvature of the spine and osteoarthritis causing me a lot of pain in my back and neck, so life some days can be difficult, depressing and frustrating when I struggle to move.
However I am trying to be positive and keep fit by doing regular strength and conditioning exercises, spend half an hour a day on my exercise bike, and go for regular walks for up to 90 minutes.

During lockdown in 2020 I heard about Billy Connolly and how he’d turned to art which became a form of therapy for coping with Parkinsons. I remembered that I always enjoyed doodling and abstract art, so I found some A3 paper which I had hanging around in my office and bought a large set of felt tips from the local garage, and started doodling for the odd hour or so each day.
Please have a look at my album of Parky Peter Art. I’m hoping to sell these for charity if anyone should be interested and 50% of the proceeds, after the cost of printing, postage any packaging, will be donated to Parkinson’s UK.
If you are interested in buying any of my abstract doodling, please quote the description reference of the one you like and email me at [email protected]

Thank you.
