Happy Pancake Day! Did everyone enjoy pancakes for supper? I treated myself to some savoury ones with cheese.

At Petit Oiseau Gifts, it’s full steam ahead for Easter. You may have seen my recent posts where I’ve been testing our new Easter egg candles. The testing has gone brilliantly, and I’m excited to say they’ll soon be available in blue, cream. Each one will be decorated on the outside with silver or gold wax pens, and they’ll be scented with vanilla or lavender.

I’ll also be releasing some adorable pink Easter bears, beautifully fragranced with La Vie Est Belle.

I’ve been testing some new candle fragrances and trying them out in my Easter egg candle moulds.

I’m experimenting with getting a smooth, clean finish on the outside of the candles, as well as checking the burn time. For this batch, I used 50 g of paraffin wax and 20 g of soy wax, and it’s been burning for 2 hours and 10 minutes so far.

I’ve also been practising with my wax pens to see how different colours look on the surface. For this one, I used a sponge to dab on some orange, and I’m planning to order gold and silver wax pens to give the candles a more luxurious finish.
What do you all think of the results?
