🌸 A little look back at a beautiful June wedding 🌸
We absolutely loved creating the flowers for this wedding. The brief was just perfect for us — relaxed, natural and full of seasonal colour. 🌿
There really is something special about British-grown wedding flowers. We grow so many of our flowers right here on the farm in Kent, and when wedding season arrives, we simply walk the fields and choose the most beautiful blooms to create something unique for each couple.
If you’re getting married and love flowers that feel naturally wild, beautifully seasonal and completely at home in the countryside, you really can’t beat British-grown flowers. 💚

🌱 And sow it begins… 🌱
Now that the temperatures have dropped, I’ve made a start on seed sowing for next year. It might seem early, but growing most of our flowers from seed means there’s plenty to get started!
It all begins with a soil block and a cocktail stick — and lots of tiny seeds that will hopefully turn into beautiful blooms next season. 🌸
We have some wonderful varieties planned for next year, including some exciting new ones that I can’t wait to see growing in the field.
There’s something very satisfying about knowing that the flowers we’ll be picking next summer start right here, one tiny seed at a time. 🌿✨

Just look at the colours in these beautiful blooms! 😍
If you’re getting married and would love dahlias in your wedding flowers, we grow so many different varieties and colours here on the farm.
The lovely thing about using our British-grown dahlias is that we don’t have to try to colour-match imported flowers. Instead, we simply take a walk around the field, see what’s looking beautiful and create a natural colour palette from the flowers growing right here. 🌿
Every wedding is different, and every season gives us something new to work with.

It may look a little brutal, but it has to be done! ✂️🌿 Deadheading keeps the plants producing more beautiful blooms and helps us keep the dahlias flowering for as long as possible.

🐝🌸 It’s been a bumper year for Hummingbird Hawk-moths! 🌸🐝
I’ve honestly lost count of how many I’ve rescued from our tunnels this year! They seem to find their way in and then struggle to find their way back out. 😂
I do love them though — when they’re resting, they look quite ordinary, but once they take flight they are absolutely amazing to watch. Their speed and those beautiful hovering movements are incredible! 💚
It’s lovely to see so many of them around this year. 🌿✨

🌸 The Dahlias are bursting into flower! 🌸
Despite the heat, our dahlias have taken a bit of looking after, but it’s certainly been worth it! 🌞🌸 They’re now bursting into bloom, and we have some absolutely beautiful varieties coming through.
From bold and vibrant colours to soft, delicate shades, there’s something for everyone. 💕

Evening picking for Felicity’s 🌸✨ We’ve gathered some absolute beauties that will be transformed into this week’s bouquets. 💐
The basil is absolutely loving the heat, and the smell is simply amazing. 🌿☀️ This week’s bouquets also feature our gorgeous dahlias, adding plenty of colour.
These fresh flowers will be delivered to the shops tomorrow morning.

No rain today—it passed by in the distance! 🌤️
We’ve been busy at the farm with lots of mulching and watering to keep everything happy. The dahlias have officially started flowering outside, and they’re looking beautiful.
This year we’ve got some exciting new varieties alongside some old favourites.
