We had fun with this one! Our client wanted to be able to change the artworks on view of this ‘Holiday Inn’ 1998 book, so we created a hinged frame with inset magnets.
The book is held in place with thin strips of Melinex film ensuring full reversibility and archival methods which are always at the core of what we do.
Glazed with uv antiglare Artglass for perfect viewing 👌

The framing of three antique textiles…

• A religious Madonna skirt, dress and sleeves, with wadding added to the skirt for subtle shape.

• A heavy weighted embroidery with metallic threads.

• An 18th century embroidered waistcoat.

Each textile was carefully hand stitched ensuring full reversibility and appropriately matched thread weights chosen to not strain the fabrics.
Hand painted frames were selected to match the chosen mount colour and matching internal hand-cut spacers for a sophisticated and contemporary look.

A set of 15 silver gelatin photographs by each float mounted and framed in a hand painted black finish and glazed with Artglass.

For a series of photographs for photographer Kingsley Ifill and artist George Rouy return to their yearly hideaway Japan. Documented over several days, the series unfolds in Tokyo’s dense city streets to contrasting, quiet rurality.
Presented as 15 single works, the photographs are developed as silver gelatin prints, reflecting the slow, analogue process that Kingsley Ifill favors.
The series is exhibited at Our Legacy Berlin between
April 30 to May 3
