🚲 Calling Bike Mechanics! 🚲
Community Reuse Birmingham is keen to hear from local bike mechanics, ideally with Cytech training, who may be interested in helping us increase the number of refurbished bikes we produce.
We have a small workshop and are exploring how we can develop our bike refurbishment project. Whether that’s one day a week, a regular session, or another arrangement, we’re open to ideas and would love to hear from people with the skills and passion to make it happen.
Our aim is simple:
♻️ Refurbish donated bikes to a safe, high standard
🔧 Use parts from non-repairable bikes wherever possible
🚲 Keep more bikes in use
💚 Provide environmentally friendly, affordable bikes for the local community
We’re not fixed on exactly how this will work and are keen to have conversations with local mechanics about what a successful project could look like.
