I started uploading poster designs to Etsy in my spare time with absolutely no expectations. Looking back, most of the early designs were pretty average, most got no sales, and every order felt like a massive win.

But I kept going.

Over time a few products started selling consistently. Then a few more did. Then suddenly I had a catalogue of products bringing in sales every week without relying on one lucky design.

That’s when everything changed.

How I sell images I make on my computer to pay my rent.

Sounds completely made up when I say it like that, but that’s genuinely what I do.

I create artwork using AI, Canva and Photoshop, turn it into poster designs, and upload them to Etsy. Over time some designs start selling consistently, then a few more do, and eventually you end up with a catalogue that brings in sales every single day.

That’s the bit that changed everything for me.

£210 a week = roughly £900 a month.

£900 a month = £10,950 a year.

Suddenly that “little Etsy shop” doesn’t sound so little anymore.

I’m self employed because of posters… and I’m not even an artist 😭
