Finally, after a few weeks break I'm taking advantage of the sunshine and getting some much needed sanding done on this barley twist gate-leg table.

These Windsor kitchen chairs had been badly gnawed by naughty puppies when I got them. I repaired, sanded, undercoated and painted them in Farrow and Ball Oval Room Blue (the colour was voted for by my Instagram followers). This week they went to live with a very nice lady.

The label from the back of a drawer from a cabinet I'm working on tells me it was made in Hay Mills in Birmingham (fairly local to me) by a company active from 1920-1932. This chest of drawers was made in Britain in 1960 and has a feminine vibe with its curves and original handles so I've gone with it! Painted in Farrow and Ball Ammonite and finished with a floral design with butterflies. The drawers have been lined with pink and gold marble wallpaper too to make her beautiful inside and out.
