The Wood Shack We reclaim, re-use, and recycle wood through local collections and partnerships to provide timber, handmade shelves, benches, and bespoke items.

As a JERICHO Social Enterprise, we help people build skills and find their way back into work. The Wood Shack is proud to also be part of the National Community Wood Recycling Project (NCWRP), which was founded in 2003 to help set up and develop a nationwide network of wood recycling social enterprises

We recently made signs and display stands from reclaimed timber for GPO Binoculars to take to the Rutland Global Bird Fair.

After the event, we received a lovely message from Miles, GPO Sales and Support Officer:

“Just like to say the display stuff you made looked great and several people commented about the stands looking nice.”

It’s a small reminder of what we do: creating something useful from reclaimed materials while supporting projects and events that connect people with the environment and their communities. 💚

🎉A HUGE congratulations to our winner, Ivy🎉

A massive thank you to everyone who stopped by to cast their vote in our Mud Kitchen Competition. It’s been wonderful seeing so many of you getting involved and supporting all the amazing entries!

We received an incredible 216 votes in total, and the highest number of votes went to Ivy’s beautiful Rainbowie!

Ivy has won a personalised Mud Kitchen worth £700, designed and lovingly created by us here at The Wood Shack, using fully recycled timber and materials.

Well done, Ivy — we hope you have lots of muddy, messy and magical adventures with your new Mud Kitchen! 🥰🎉
