Hearing about young Noah today has genuinely broken my heart.
Not just as a SEN mum. Not just for children with additional needs. But for every single child who has ever been in danger, been placed in danger, or simply hasn’t had the understanding to recognise danger for themselves.
Children are innocent. They depend on the adults around them to keep them safe.
Tonight, my heart, thoughts and prayers are with Noah and his family.
We don’t need to share the same religion, race or background to feel another family’s pain. Compassion has no boundaries. A child is a child, and their life is precious.
May this beautiful little boy and his family be surrounded by love, strength and comfort. 🤍

And just like that… off she goes to chase her dreams. I captured this photo on Beela’s very first day of school. She was such a tiny little thing,even the other Reception children looked massive next to her. And now, all these years later, it’s her first day of university. She made it through school, through every hurdle along the way, and Insha’Allah she’ll make it through university too,ready to fulfil her dream of caring for and helping other little girls just like the little girl in this photo. May Allah grant my Beela, and all our children, endless success, barakah and khair in everything they pursue. May He protect them from every form of harm and evil, keep them steadfast, and open doors for them that are filled with goodness. Ameen. Go get your dreams, my little Beela.

This weekend reminded me why Baith ul Ilm exists.
Watching my SEND babies return, celebrating their achievements and seeing each of them happy in a space made for them filled my heart.Here, different is never less. Every little milestone is a BIG achievement, and every child deserves to be celebrated. Baith ul Ilm my babies, my amanah, my heart.

The best day with the best people
JazakAllah Khair Sadia, Safaa & Keyaan for welcoming me and my children with so much love. You fed us, spoilt us, gifted us and somehow still sent us home with our hands full!
Family isn’t always blood. Family is the people who celebrate your happiness, sit with you through your sadness, love your children like their own and make your heart feel at home.
We left with full bellies, full hands and even fuller hearts. So grateful for the beautiful souls Allah places in our lives. ❤️

A little reminder.As our children head back to school, please teach them that kindness matters.
They don’t have to be friends with every child. They don’t have to play with a SEND child if they don’t want to. But they do have to be kind.
Teach them not to stare, laugh, exclude, tease or make someone feel different for simply being who they are.
A little kindness can make school feel like a much safer place for a child who already has to navigate the world differently.
Different, not less. Choose kindness. Always.
