🌿 How to Make Nettle Fertilizer Syrup for Thriving Vegetables

If you want a natural way to boost your garden, nettle fertilizer syrup is an amazing organic option. It’s rich in nitrogen, potassium, and minerals that help plants grow stronger and greener.

✨ Benefits

Promotes lush foliage and faster growth

Strengthens plants against pests & diseases

Improves soil health naturally

Eco-friendly & chemical-free

🛠️ What You’ll Need

Fresh nettle leaves (before flowering)

Water (rainwater preferred)

Large non-metallic container

Stick for stirring

Strainer or cloth

Gloves, scissors, storage bottles

🥣 How to Make It

Harvest nettles with gloves (top 6–8 inches).

Chop and place in a container (fill halfway).

Cover with water (1 part nettles : 10 parts water).

Stir, loosely cover, and let ferment 2–3 weeks (it will smell!).

Stir every few days.

Strain — the liquid is your concentrated fertilizer.

💧 How to Use It

Soil feed: Dilute 1:10 with water, apply around plant roots every 2–4 weeks.

Foliar spray: Dilute 1:20 and spray leaves in the morning or evening.

🌱 Tips for Success

Always dilute — concentrated syrup can burn plants.

Combine with compost teas for balanced nutrition.

Don’t use metal containers.

Avoid applying in hot midday sun.

With this simple recipe, you’ll have healthier, greener vegetables while keeping your garden sustainable and chemical-free.
