Hi all , the shop is all but dried out and the next step to reopening will be tomorrow when contractors come to evaluate the mold and redecorations needed so we can start our part of the repairs. Still going to be a while before we can reopen but at least things are moving.

Hi all just a quick update on the situation, council have finally provided Dehumidifiers and the shop is drying out slowly. Next step is to get the mold in the walls and ceiling sorted out . After that it’s ceiling tiles, carpet ,cctv,new shelving throughout, new countertop then restock. So first tick on todo list.

UPDATE. Plumber called to attend flat above the shop but nobody is home. Asked to escalate the problem but had to phone up repair line again. Again after a 45 Minute conversation and being put on hold several times told cannot contact a member of housing team so sent a email to concerned parties. After 21 days I won’t be holding my breath.

May we apologise to all our loyal customers for being closed at the moment. Thanks to the people in the flat above the shop , we have had a constant leak coming through the ceiling since Friday 26th January. As you can probably guess the shop is in a proper state. It is with a very heavy heart that we think we will be closed for some time. Not to leave customers short we shall still be delivering gas until our stock runs out.
