Bishops Stortford supporting Ukrainian Children of Gorzów W.

Hi-5s and massive hugs to everyone that helped us raise funds last month - we've used the money to sponsor 305 Ukrainian kids to attend Summer swimming camp!

🇬🇧❤️🇺🇦 Attention Bishops & Bishopesses of Stortford 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇦

We need to raise £50k for Ukrainian children in Gorzow.

Anthony and Justyna visited last week on a fact finding mission and have come back with two simple aims:

👕 Restock the refugee supply centre - many of you contributed 6 weeks ago and we delivered over 20 tonnes of goods. Now that we have people on the ground, we can buy the goods locally which is both efficient and better for Planet Earth.

🌞 Summer Camp for 500+ Ukrainian Kids - we have found a local partner willing to run a summer activity program at a cost of £150 per child. The more we raise, the more kids we can help.

⚡PLEASE CONTRIBUTE IF YOU CAN, AND/OR HELP BY SHARING THIS POST.

❤️ APPEAL: Ukrainian children need YOU Bishops Stortford! ❤️

Since the beginning of this terrible war, the Adoption Center in Gorzów Wielkopolski (Ośrodek Adopcyjny w Gorzowie Wlkp.) has been fundraising for children and women from Ukraine.

Many of the donations you made last month were taken there - and they are very grateful. But Russia hasn't stopped, so nor can we.

Instead of us doing another collection + drive, they have created an Amazon Wish List of what they need.

Please, click the link and get shopping for whatever you can afford. FYI: 100 PLN = £20 ish.

⚡️⚡️⚡️ This is Amazon POLAND. Your login will work, but PAY ATTENTION to the shipping address - you need to select the Adoption Centre in Gorzow (see photo).

If the address doesn't appear then you can add it manually:

Great story here in the BS Indie. Remember - we have a group set up for anyone looking to host mothers and their children: https://www.facebook.com/groups/3152176298443278

Stortford aid for Ukrainians - Week 2.

Last weekend we drove 4 large vans of the goods you donated over to Poland ourselves. Thanks to your wonderful generousity, we had a lot left over.

Fortunately local heroes Cornelius Group plc stepped in to help!

This morning we packed 22 pallettes into a lorry, and now it's on its way to our dear friends in .

Well done , and HUGE thanks to everyone at Cornelius for their kind assistance.

Glory to Ukraine!

Many folks have asked us to help them to offer Ukrainian refugee's in Gorzow homes.

To facilitate this, we have built a group where you can post your 'offer'. The Ukrainian mothers can then review what you are offering and make contact to discuss.

Us Brits will then have to fill in the visa form with the family via email or whatsapp.

We have contacted authorities in Gorzow today who will be putting up signs pointing them at this group.

If you are thinking of hosting a family then please join in and post your offer!
