We’ve recently added Unnatural Flooring to the showroom, an independent UK brand specialising in practical, low-maintenance flooring inspired by natural materials such as sisal, seagrass, jute and wool.

You get the look and texture of natural flooring, with the benefits of a hard-wearing, easy-clean alternative.

And like us, they’re independent and have been doing things their own way since 2005.

They also turn their flooring into bespoke, made-to-measure rugs, handmade to order in Devon.

Last week we installed a bespoke Amtico floor using Amtico Form Gotland Oak, with a basket weave design and border through the entrance, while the living room, kitchen and W.C. were finished in plank.

The installation involved a bit more preparation than usual. Part of the floor was installed over existing tiles, while another section needed to be built up to match the existing tile thickness.

Once the preparation was right, it was all about getting the basket weave, border and plank layouts looking just right.

A great example of how careful preparation can make all the difference to the finished floor.

Bank Holiday Opening Hours

A quick reminder that our showroom will be closed on Monday 31st August for the Bank Holiday.

We’ll be back open as usual from Tuesday 1st September.

A closer look at the new Harvey Maria stands in our showroom

It’s not just about the colour. The different textures, patterns and wood grain details really bring these floors to life and make each design feel that little bit different.

We particularly like how the wood grain adds depth and character, giving the flooring a more natural feel.

The full display is now in the showroom, and we’ll be sharing more of it next week.

This staircase has been fully fitted in Hugh Mackay Deco Candy Stripe in Night Sky, giving the staircase a really smart and striking finish.

Our customer paired this with Brockway Elements in Stone in the bedrooms, creating a softer and more understated look in those areas.

A great example of using different styles of carpet throughout the home to give each space its own look.

Another installation completed

This one features Karndean Van Gogh Herringbone in Texas Grey Ash, fitted throughout the hall, lounge, dining room, study and pantry.

The herringbone gives the whole space a really smart, timeless look, while the grey ash tones work brilliantly with the rest of the home.

A great example of how one flooring choice can flow through multiple rooms and really bring everything together.
