A couple of months ago, I spotted a wanted post on Freecycle appealing for any mismatched china tea sets, cake stands and other crockery for a series of fundraising afternoon teas in aid of MND charities.

I was having a sort out as I have accumulated so much crockery over the years, from when I used to do travelling tea parties and hire out china. So I was pleased to donate a few boxloads of cups, saucers, plates, sugar bowls, jugs, teapots and cake stands.

Just found out today that 5 tea parties were held over the summer and raised a total of £1600! Wow, what a result. Well done to the organisers for your time and effort 👏 🥰

A cooler day (finally!) so I topped up my pitch at Blaby Antiques Centre with freshly made cards and framed book prints and posters. Lots available!

Found one of my 'Holy Grail' vintage items today.... 🥰

A Sylko wooden three drawer shop display in lovely condition. In a charity shop.

A little more than I would usually spend (£20) and no contents but having seen what they are selling for online (and how rare they are getting) I snapped it up.

A keeper for my haberdashery collection 😍

A custom made card for a family friend's 80th birthday.

Incorporating all his interests.... bird watching (particularly in the Shetlands and North Norfolk), natural history, travel, cars, music and a cheeky childhood snapshot!

A pleasant Sunday afternoon spent at Blaby Antiques Centre 🖼🌞🌻

Stocked up my pitch with a few newly framed prints and postcards plus framed vintage Ladybird book covers. 🐞

I have been meaning to try this for ages.... I don't like throwing away the old book covers when I salvage the pages for my cards so have been saving them. I may be biased but I think they look great! 🤣

Also the last of my Ladybird dad cards, ideal for Father's Day.

Finished off my visit with a refreshing iced tea and lemon and pistachio blondie from Latte Lounge - yum 😋
