The has set an amazing example when it comes to her charitable support making an enormous difference to millions of people up and down the country; doing more for charity in the last 60 years than probably any other monarch in history... Research from the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) reveals that the Queen is among the world's greatest supporters of charities and has the helped the many organisations of which she is patron raise over £1.4bn.

The Queen is patron to 510 charities in Britain, including Cancer Research UK, the British Red Cross and Barnado's. The wider Royal Family support a grand total of 2,415 charities in Britain, with this figure rising to almost 3,000 worldwide.

The Queen's work for charities of all types is an example to all of us ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Ride The Lights is back again for 2022! Get your bike ready for a traffic-free sneak preview of the illuminations before the official Switch-On.

Everyone is welcome down to the promenade on 30 August from 7pm-10pm starting at Starr Gate.

The full line-up of magnificent flying machines that will perform at this year’s Blackpool Air Show has been unveiled.

The free two-day show on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 August will feature thrilling displays from a wide range of military and civil aircraft including the Red Arrows, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Typhoon, Chinook, Muscle Pitts stunt plane, Strikemaster and the AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers.

A number of the aircraft featured in the spectacular Platinum Jubilee celebrations in London over the extended Bank Holiday weekend.

There's plenty to see on the ground, too. Head to the Air Show Village on the Tower Festival Headland for a wide range of stalls, attractions and food concessions. This summer, the village is sponsored by the family entertainment centre Coral Island which is located close to the Tower in the heart of all the action.

Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme (HTCS)
If you're referred to hospital or other NHS premises for specialist NHS treatment or diagnostic tests by a doctor, dentist or another primary care health professional, you may be able to claim a refund of reasonable travel costs under the Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme (HTCS).

Who can claim for help with travel costs?
To qualify for help with travel costs under the HTCS, you must meet 3 conditions:

At the time of your appointment, you or your partner (including civil partners) must receive one of the qualifying benefits or allowances listed on this page, or meet the eligibility criteria for the NHS Low Income Scheme.

You must have a referral from a healthcare professional to a specialist or a hospital for further NHS treatment or tests (often referred to as secondary care).

Your appointment must be on a separate visit to when the referral was made. This applies whether your treatment is provided at a different location (hospital or clinic) or on the same premises as where the GP or another health professional issued the referral.

BLACKPOOL AIR SHOW DISPLAY TIMES
We are gearing up for the long-awaited return of one of the world’s most spectacular aerial display teams!

The magnificent Red Arrows will perform at 5pm on both days of the Blackpool Air Show on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 August, their first appearance here since 2018.

The free two-day show will also feature thrilling displays from a wide range of military and civil aircraft including the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Typhoon, Chinook, Muscle Pitts stunt plane, Strikemaster and the AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers 🙌
