The House of Bruar Wildlife Art Gallery
Our Wildlife Art Gallery is home to a carefully-curated selection of Scottish landscape paintings and animal sculptures that capture the essence of rural Scotland in all its dynamic and majestic beauty. Scotland has long been a source of inspiration for painters, sculptors and poets thanks to the untamed, isolated grandeur of its sweeping Highland landscapes and the indomitable nature of the wildlife that lives there, and our gallery exists to ensure that a new generation of contemporary artists can find the wider audience that their work deserves. Scottish Landscape Paintings and Animal Sculptures
Our gallery features stunning Scottish landscape paintings and wonderfully evocative animal sculptures from both established and up-and-coming artists with a strong connection to Scotland. From brooding and turbulent watercolours that capture the bleakest aspect of the Scottish hills to stunning sculptures in bronze and silver that depict the hardy vitality of Scotland’s native flora and fauna, the Bruar Wildlife Art Gallery reflects the many faces of rural Scotland in a breath-taking cascade of richly expressive forms and figures. Sometimes playful, often striking but always memorable, our Scottish Wildlife Art Gallery hosts a multitude of items that affirm the unique artistic heritage of this singular nation.

Join Us Tomorrow | Katie Hargreaves Exhibition 12th–17th August🎨

We’re delighted to welcome wildlife artist Katie Hargreaves to the House of Bruar Art Gallery from tomorrow for her exhibition, Enduring Presence: 10 Years of Looking.

Katie will be with us every day throughout the exhibition, giving visitors the chance to meet the artist and see her creative process up close. From 10am daily, she’ll also be creating a Sketch of the Day live in the gallery.

The exhibition brings together 10 original charcoal drawings, each featuring an animal that has been significant to Katie’s work over the past decade. Inspired by time spent observing wildlife in the field, the collection captures both the character of each animal and the stories behind them.

We look forward to welcoming you throughout the exhibition!
