A little life update from me 🤍
I’ve always been known as a pretty positive force in my little flower world, and I think I usually am.
But I also think it’s important to be honest when things aren’t quite so shiny.
The last few weeks have been incredible. Fleurs de Villes was one of the biggest highs of my career so far, and I’m still trying to process everything that came with it.
But after such a huge high, I’ve really felt the come-down.
Running a business, being creative, showing up for everyone and trying to look after myself at the same time is a balancing act I’ve always found difficult — and lately, I can feel that I’m really running on empty.
Rather than pushing through because I can, I’m trying to get better at recognising when I shouldn’t.
October gives me a little breathing room before the madness of Christmas begins, so I’m going to use it.
BLÜM will be closed from 14th–21st October while I take a proper week off.
No productivity challenge. No secretly using the week to “get ahead”. 😂 Just a little time to switch off, reset and come back feeling more like myself.
I absolutely love this business and everything we’re building, but I’m learning that looking after the person behind it has to be part of looking after the business too.
