Since opening our little flower shop in Bolsover, we’ve been VERY busy… 🌸

What started as a little dream has turned into two years of flowers, weddings, workshops, awards, Christmas magic, community projects and so many wonderful people walking through our doors.

Here are just a few things we’ve been lucky enough to do since opening:

🏆 Won UK Florist of the Year Newcomer 2024
🌸 Hosted our iconic Pick Your Own Flower Stand
🌿 Ran free demos & workshops on market days
💐 Made some SUPER colourful wedding days
🏡 Helped decorate some beautiful local businesses
🎄 Helped hundreds of you create your own wreaths in our workshops
⭐ Won a Shining Star Award from Bolsover UK
🏰 Decorated Bolsover Castle for Christmas
🤍 Created meaningful funeral flowers to help you say farewell
🏆 And most recently… became FINALISTS for Retail Florist of the Year 2026!

Think I’m still in shock?? 🤍

This September, BLÜM will design for the world premiere of Fleurs de Villes DIANA, alongside 15 incredible floral designers at Somerset House, in support of sponsored by

I was born in 1999, so I didn’t grow up in the world that lived alongside Diana.
But I grew up with a grandma and a mum who spoke about her with such admiration. They taught me about the woman behind the photographs — her ability to connect with ordinary people, champion causes she believed in and show just how powerful authenticity can be.

So being invited to interpret one of her iconic looks through my own floral design feels incredibly personal.

And then there’s the other side of it…

I’m a young designer. I’m still building BLÜM. We opened our doors less than two years ago.

To be invited to create something for a global platform like Fleurs de Villes, alongside such incredible designers, is honestly one of the biggest honours of my career.
It isn’t lost on me how incredible this opportunity is.
And with that comes a responsibility — one I’m very, very happy to have — to create something worthy of the story we are celebrating.

Over the next few weeks, I’m going to take you behind the scenes of this entire process.

The inspiration. The research. The designing. The making. The panic. The tiny details. And, eventually, seeing it come to life at Somerset House.
I want to soak up every second of this experience, and I want to bring you along with me.

15 iconic looks. 15 floral interpretations. One extraordinary woman.

I cannot wait for you to see what we’re creating.

This is how we wrap our hand tied wedding flowers for delivery! I prep these the week before so they sit upstairs until their day comes around!

The flowers stay hydrated, Bride is happy, I am happy 🤣

I’m incredibly proud to share that BLÜM Floral has been named a finalist in the BFA’s ‘RETAIL FLORIST OF THE YEAR’ 2026! 🌸

And now… it’s down to the public vote.

What makes this one feel particularly special is the journey behind it.
I started my career through an apprenticeship, went on to compete at WorldSkills UK, and eventually took the leap to open my own independent floral studio here in Bolsover.

What started as a passion for floristry has grown into a business, a team, a community and a place I’m incredibly proud to call my own.
Being recognised as a finalist by the British Florist Association is already an achievement I’m BEYOND grateful for. But to now have the opportunity to take it one step further through a public vote is something I’d absolutely love your support with!
