Bolsover Town Centre Undertakes Exciting Resurfacing Project to Town Square

The next phase of works to the Town Square, the resurfacing, is due to commence in February 2024. The project is aimed at enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal, safety, and accessibility for residents and visitors alike. This initiative reflects the Council’s commitment to maintaining a vibrant and welcoming community and events space.

The project will include resurfacing the square with block paving, replacing the ramp with steps, and carrying out repairs to the wall, drainage, and handrails; the expected duration of the project is 9 weeks, subject to weather and conditions on site.

The Town Council is working closely with GWH Paving Services Ltd to ensure a smooth and efficient ex*****on of the project; regular updates will be provided to keep the community informed about progress and any potential adjustments to the schedule.

As we embark on this exciting project, we appreciate the patience and understanding of the community, every effort will be made to minimise disruption to local businesses and residents. We believe that the benefits of this resurfacing project will have a lasting and positive impact on the overall vibrancy and attractiveness of our town centre.

We have lots going on in the Town Centre to celebrate the Jubilee. Over 30 Artisan Market traders. Bars, street food, entertainment in the town square. Rides for the little ones, and for the not so little ones a climbing wall. Up at the Castle you will find martial arts and dance displays, African drum workshop and a teddy bear's picnic. Truly something for everyone. From 10am
