M J Bird & Son We’re a family business. In fact, we’re the third generation of Birds to sell exceptional sofas, beds and carpets from our lovely old mill in Bolton le Sands

In fact, we’re the third generation of Birds to sell exceptional sofas, furniture, beds and flooring at The Old Mill here on the shore of Bolton-le-Sands – we’ve been here since 1957. Our philosophy is all about quality and service – offering high quality furniture and carpets with an old-fashioned approach to customer service. Right products. Right prices. First class service and support always. That’s been our motto for over 60 years and it’s why our customers return time after time. We offer a comprehensive range of top furniture brands for living, dining and bedrooms from our 15,000 square foot warehouse. We’re committed to the early principles of the company … that quality furniture does not need to be expensive and should be available to everyone. It’s all about trust, we trust our customers and they trust us, and that means something priceless, peace of mind.

In 1957, our founder Michael Jeffrey Bird began selling carpets from his garage at home. Jeff and Marina worked hard, hand-sewing every carpet before it was fitted.
More than six decades later, the Bird family tradition continues here at The Old Mill in Bolton-le-Sands with David & Michael.

The showroom is bigger and the choice is wider, but the important things remain the same: quality, value, helpful advice and service that puts you - our customers, first.

We are proud to be a local family business serving homes across Lancaster, Morecambe, the Lune Valley & South Lakes
