A touch of vintage charm meets contemporary masterclass. ✨
I have embarked upon a rather magnificent new endeavour: assembling an Ampharos collection. To establish the grand scale of this project, I have secured the perfect bookends to frame the journey.
On one side, a near mint, pack-fresh Ampharos 1/111 1st Edition Neo Genesis Holo. On the other, the breathtaking, brand-new Ampharos (Illustration Rare) 090/086 from the freshly released Chaos Rising expansion.
It is truly fascinating to look at them side by side. A massive 26 years of Pokémon history separate these two pieces, mapping out the incredible evolution of the TCG. We transition from the classic, clean-cut geometry of Ken Sugimori’s legendary original artwork straight into the rich, deeply textured, and atmospheric storytelling style of Saino Misaki. Two wildly different eras, yet both capture the magnificent essence of our favourite light Pokémon perfectly.
The master set checklist is printed, and the hunt for the missing pieces begins today (chilled pace).
