A little something different from the studio 🤍

This personalised candle was created for a client celebrating Archie’s 17th birthday — hand-poured in Rhubarb & Elderflower and then engraved using my xTool to create a completely bespoke gift.

I love being able to add that extra personal touch to our candles. Whether it’s a birthday, wedding, anniversary or simply a message that means something to someone, engraving transforms a candle into something completely unique.

And once the candle is lit, you still get the beautiful fragrance experience too — this one combines crisp rhubarb with delicate elderflower for a fresh, beautifully balanced scent.

A little studio update 🤍

The Lancashire Candle Company studio will be closed from 19th August until 1st September while I take a short summer break.

If you’ve been thinking about placing an order, please do so before the studio closes so I can get everything made, packed and on its way to you before I leave.

The website will remain open while I’m away, but any orders placed during this time will begin to be processed when I return.

And when the studio doors reopen on 1st September, something rather lovely will be waiting…

How to look after your candles in this hot weather

* Keep candles out of direct sunlight
* Avoid leaving them on windowsills, in conservatories or very hot cars
* Store them somewhere cool, dry and level
* Heat can soften wax, especially natural waxes
* If a candle has softened, let it return to room temperature before lighting
* Keep the wick trimmed as normal before burning

We’re a small Lancashire business creating home fragrance designed to become part of the way your home feels — beautiful scents, considered details and pieces you’ll want to leave on display.

Everything is made by hand, from our soy wax candles and home fragrance to our refillable collection and the vessels we create here in Lancashire.

And right now, behind the scenes, I’m working on something rather special for autumn… 🍂

There are new colours, new fragrances and plenty of testing happening before I’m happy enough to put The Lancashire Candle Company name on them.

The Autumn Edit — revealed. 🍂

Five shades, created to bring the warmth and richness of the season into your home.

Sage. Mulberry. Pumpkin. Mushroom. Cocoa.

Each one has been mixed, poured and finished by hand, with every shade considered individually — from the soft, muted green of Sage to the depth of Mulberry and the rich warmth of Cocoa.

I wanted this collection to feel unmistakably autumnal, but in a way that could live beautifully in your home long beyond the season.

Warm. Tactile. Understated.
Made to be noticed, without asking for attention.

And now, seeing all five together for the first time, the Autumn Edit is finally beginning to feel very real. 🤎

The fragrances are still being tested, the candles are still being perfected, and there is more to reveal before launch…

There’s something very special about knowing a candle I’ve made has found its place in someone else’s home.

Black Raspberry & Vanilla is one of those fragrances that feels effortlessly inviting — rich, juicy berries softened by creamy vanilla for a scent that is warm, comforting and beautifully easy to live with.

Beautiful candles begin long before the first light. 🤎

The first Autumn Edit candle is officially undergoing its burn testing.

Behind every finished candle are hours of testing, observing and refining — from the wooden wick and melt pool to the fragrance throw and the way the vessel performs as it warms.

It’s a part of the process you don’t always get to see, but perhaps one of the most important.

Because for me, creating something beautiful isn’t enough. It needs to perform beautifully too.

So far, this one is giving me plenty to be excited about… but there’s still more testing to come.

The Autumn Edit is slowly taking shape. 🍂

There’s something rather special about creating a piece that’s entirely personal to the person it’s going home with.

This Signature Edit was a bespoke commission — a beautiful blue finish, handcrafted with its coordinating tray, and filled with their chosen blend of Vanilla, Patchouli & Sandalwood.

Warm vanilla, earthy patchouli and soft sandalwood — chosen by them, poured by hand, and created especially for their home.

Still refillable. Still made to be enjoyed again and again. But this one is completely their own.

Made to be loved. Made to last.
