I really enjoy adding these little details to a floor .

The worktops were mostly square edges apart from the end of the breakfast bar which was rounded so I suggested a curve in the border to compliment this . Simple but effective I think 😁

This one’s a bit different . Herringbone fitted (European style) instead of the more traditional diagonal herringbone.

The devils in the details and this hallway was nearly a square so didn’t naturally have an orientation . There is also a balcony looking directly down onto this floor so lines that run parallel to this work really well .

The product itself is textures (honey oak) and a new addition to the market 😁

What can I say about this floor that it doesn’t say for itself . Textures lvt basket weave with oenthouse carpet and finished off with stairrods trims and rods

Though basket weave isn’t a new design it’s rapidly becoming the next big thing and can be fitted square on or angled with or without a border . This particular brand can be further personalised by swapping the squares into any other shade of wood .

This one was a challenge . Plyboarded through a dining room and round a breakfast bar then off into a dog legged hallway all fitted with a blonde oak herringbone tile direct to fresh paintwork and managing to centralise the pattern in the hallway despite starting fitting the tiles from the dining room next to it .

This one is finally finished . I’m proud of all my work but this one especially so because it’s been so flippin difficult .

This is a prefabricated steel framed staircase . Each step is filled with concrete and topped with two layers of plyboard to gain the correct heights . These are glued /drilled and plugged .

The stairrods bespoke nosings are also drilled and plugged through all three materials at the exact height required .

Each kite step instead of being fitted as full planks were individually cut at a shallow angle to allow each step to angle round to the next .

To finish off a steel trim was formed around the bottom bullnose step and fixed into place .

This one genuinely taxed me but these are the projects that improve us . Here’s to the next one 😁

Absolutely delighted to say I’ve got to the semi finals for a third time .

This time it’s even bigger with 12 other semi finalists at the installers show in Birmingham 24th of June . I’ve been told the task this time is to install two floors against the clock one in a diagonal plank round various obstacles found in a wc and another area in herringbone pattern .

Whilst being filmed and with the public plus three professional judges observing .
The top 5 selected go through to the finals at Harrogate later in the year .

I’d like to say a massive THANK YOU to all
My clients /friends and family that have been so incredibly supportive of this scary undertaking .
